We continue to discover innovative ways to serve our community and hope to do this for the next 10 years and beyond. Some of the programs we have to offer include mental health resources, support groups for our transgender friends, HIV prevention and care, and transitional housing for youth at risk for homelessness. Our reach extends to over 13 cities in the North San Diego region, as well as Camp Pendleton. We are extremely proud that since the beginning of the COVID-19 global pandemic, Pride by the Beach has never closed its doors, and has in fact, increased its services to the community. Pride is your time to celebrate being out and proud in the San Diego sun Dance the day away at Viejas Casino & Resorts beautiful. The lifesaving services and programs we’ve created have helped thousands of LGBTQI+ people. We have worked tirelessly for more than 10 years to accomplish this goal. Our mission is to serve, empower and advocate for San Diego North County's diverse LGBTQI+ community. More than 250,000 attendees gather to watch the parade, which features colorful floats.

While some chapters have full-time or part-time staff, most are entirely volunteer-based. Clearly, Grupo Firme is living up to the title of its 2021 album, Nos Divertimos Logrando Lo Imposible (We Have Fun Doing The Impossible). Chapters like ours play an important role in bringing GLSEN’s programs and visions to right where we live, work, and learn. San Diego Pride has had many firsts, such as, being the first Lesbian and Gay Parade in San Diego to celebrate the 1969 Stonewall Rebellion on New York's Christopher Street. Our chapter supports students and educators locally, organizes around LGBTQ-affirming public policy, plans teacher trainings, and hosts events for students, educators, parents, and allies. s LGBT+ Pride Parade and Event Calendar for the Year 2022. GLSEN San Diego County is a grassroots initiative, working locally in our community to ensure safe schools for all students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity.
